Raku Vintage Style Palmistry Hand

This Handmade raku fired Vintage inspired Ceramic palmistry hand is slip cast from a hand made mold and is made of white porcelain and features an off- white crackle raku glaze. The hand is approximately 5 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide. 

The raku firing process involves removing pottery from the kiln while bright red hot and placing it into a container with combustible materials. This technique results in a variety of surface and color variations such as; metallic and iridescent coloring and a crackled glazed surface appearance. Do to this firing process each piece of Raku ceramics is unique and one of a kind.
